Established in 2014, Modern College of Education (MCE) was founded as a teacher training institute located at Gram‑Kurauni, Pargana Banthra, Lucknow .
The college commenced its journey with the D.El.Ed. program (Diploma in Elementary Education, formerly B.T.C.) after securing recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliation with the State Council for Education Research and Training (SCERT) .
The institution expanded its academic offerings with the introduction of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program in 2016, followed by the Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) program in 2017. Both of these programs are affiliated with the University of Lucknow, further strengthening the college’s commitment to quality teacher education and academic excellence.
